The CompTIA A+ certification supports fundamental technologies today, from security to networking to virtualization and more. It is the industry standard for IT jobs in the digital world today. It is also the only industry-recognized credential with performance-based testing to prove the ability of certificate holders to think through important IT support tasks. The certificate holder will be able to master skills for dealing with hardware components, operating systems, software error detection and correction, networks, security, mobile devices, virtualization and cloud computing, and operational procedures.

Certification Requirements:

Obtaining the certification requires passing two exams.

  • Exam 1:Covers mobile devices and network technology, hardware, virtualization, and cloud computing.
  • Exam 2: Covers operating systems, security, software, and operational procedures.


Certification Exam:

  • Exam Code: Core 1 (220-1101) and Core 2 (220-1102)
  • Exam duration:90 minutes for each exam
  • Number of questions: Up to 90 questions for each exam
  • Question format: Multiple-choice questions (single and multiple answers), drag and drop. and performance-based questions
  • Passing grade: 220-1101: 75% (675/900) and 220-1102: 77.8% (700/900)
  • Exam language: English and other languages
