تتركز اهتماماته البحثية في نظرية الأعداد، والتشفير، وأمن المعلومات، مع اهتمام خاص بالتوقيع الرقمي والتشفير بالمفتاح العام والتشفير القائم على الهوية. وله خبرة أكاديمية تمتد لأكثر من 13 عامًا في التدريس والبحث العلمي والإشراف الأكاديمي.
